Meet the Team It is important to Dr. Gartner that his staff remains up to date with new developments in the field of orthodontics. Clerical and clinical staff members routinely attend conferences and seminars, both locally and around the country. This ensures that we are able to bring you the best possible care and provide a positive environment in which to meet your orthodontic needs. Classes include learning about new office procedures, the latest in orthodontic appliances, and the technological advancements affecting all areas of an orthodontic practice. We even schedule an annual refresher course in CPR. You will notice that our staff is not only well-trained, but they love what they do. Staff turn-over is very low, as the staff likes working with Dr. Gartner! Well-designated duties, in addition to over 125 years of staff experience, make for a streamlined office system. (And imagine, none of us is over 35!) CLERICAL STAFF Marcy Marcy is our Office Coordinator and has 30 years of experience in dental and orthodontic clinical and clerical work. Marcy will answer your phone calls and schedule appointments. Marcy is married and has two children. Kathy Kathy's employment with Dr. Gartner began in 1990. In addition to being one of our receptionists, she is also the office Insurance Specialist. Kathy and her husband, Roger, have three children. Bernie Bernie joined Dr. Gartner's staff in 1990 as our Accounts Receivable expert. Any accounting inquiries should be directed to her on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays. Bernie and her husband have seven children and five grandchildren. Barbara Barb contributes to the office part-time as Marketing Coordinator and Payroll Manager. She and Dr. Gartner have been married since 1974 and are the parents of two daughters and a son. CLINICAL STAFF June June has 22 years of experience as an Orthodontic Assistant, with 15 of those years working with Dr. Gartner. June is married and enjoys yoga, boating and spending time with family, friends, and her dog. Mary Mary joined the staff in 1994 as an Orthodontic Assistant after having worked in hospital and restaurant settings. Mary and her husband, Dan, have three children. In her spare time Mary likes to read and attend sporting events. Carol Carol has worked as an Orthodontic Assistant with Dr. Gartner since 1989, interrupted for 2½ years while she lived on the West Coast and managed an orthodontic office. Carol is married and loves music and traveling. Debbie Debbie has worked with Dr. Gartner since 1989. She started full-time as a Records Technician and currently works part-time as our Lab Technician. Debbie and her husband are the parents of a daughter and a son.
